Everybody loses people they love. It’s a fact of life — an unfortunate one any time, but especially when the loss comes far too soon. Sometimes the loss is private, shared only with those closest to us. On rare occasions, it’s intensely public. Most of the time, it’s somewhere in between.

I am a big believer in perspective and the larger picture, but everybody has those blah moments when perspective abandons them. It’s how you deal with those moments that matters, right?

I’m giving up oxygen

I am a crier. Which means, it looks like I’m going to be giving up oxygen for the next however many days are on that little countdown gizmo off to the right. Plus three.

Life is already a balancing act. Throw in something like the Arizona 3-Day and dang, keeping all those balls in the air can be difficult, but perspective is everything.
